Read lasers are not as intense as the write lasers and are therefore not able to darken the dye material.
The write laser is one of the most important components of the CD burner, and moves in exactly the same way as the read laser in that it moves outward while the disc spins. The bottom plastic layer of the write laser has grooves that have been pre-pressed into it, and what this does is ensure that the laser will stay on the correct path. By calibrating the rate of spin with the movement of the laser assembly, the burner keeps the laser running along the track at a certain constant speed.
It is clear to see that the process involved here is really not all that difficult, and even if you are a computer amateur, you can still understand the methods involved here. CD burners are terrific investments, definitely worth you spending the money on. If you love television and movies, just think about it - you can burn all of your favorite music and video programs onto CDs and keep them for a lifetime.
