Spyware and Viruses - Scared Yet?

By

Photo: thedigeratilife.com

As more of our life ends up online, and as our realities are blurred between the real world and the virtual one, everyone will be subjected to online data, personal information, and money theft. In fact, there is a very good chance that your credit card numbers and/or banking information has already been stolen, even if the hackers or culprits never use it. The information may have been stolen in a giant batch of 100s of thousands or millions of others and you are just small potatoes, so you've been safe, at least for now.
Okay so, let's talk shall we? Solid passwords are wise, but that is still no guarantee, neither is storing your data in the cloud, after all if you can get in, so can they. Of course, that's only one challenge. Today, many of us use WiFi hotspots, public WiFi, and open WiFi systems from time to time, each time we are at risk of hacking. If we visit certain websites, we can pick up malware, computer viruses, and spyware.
Even companies you trust use super-cookies to track you, mostly for analytical data or to sell you something and profile you based on your preferences, and if you go onto social networking sites, beware, as these systems do use super-cookie tricks. Much of the data from Facebook, Google, etc, is anonymized, well, mostly, but your surfing habits and ISP do give you away.
Even if you are surfing anonymously or on a different ISP, like I said the websites visited, or inquiries on your searches will give you away. It's just amazing all the ways you can be infiltrated and hacked. Okay so, if you are ready to learn more, why not educate yourself? Why not protect your identity, and your computer system from hackers. Once you know some of the tricks, you can learn ways to be more careful. Yes, then in turn they will learn more ways to get you too.
Indeed, it is a lot like the cold war isn't it. You get better security systems, they find more ways to exploit that system, it's a never ending battle, and whether you like it or not, you are stuck in the war zone, and in the new net-centric cyber warfare battlespace. If you are not worried you should be, and if you do nothing, you are a goner. No, it's not my intention to scare you, just to let you know what's going on. What you do with this information is a personal choice, I just hope you are smart enough to make the right choice. Please consider all this, and think on it.

Its Iphone Vs Android Application Development

By:

Photo: iphonedeveloperlabs.com

iPhone and Android... both of them are the most sought after smartphones of this generation. With these two smartphones, life is getting easier and smoother. However, for a developer, application development for these two smartphones is undeniably a delight, since he can address an international audience with these apps. The contrast between Android and iPhone application development is elaborated below as follows. Lets get talking with their programming languages. iPhone app development language is the Objective-C, which is a programming language based on C with some extensions on object-oriented versions such as:-

1.Interfaces,
2.Dynamic typing,
3.Classes,
4.Inheritance,
5.Messages and many more.

On the other hand, android application development roots on Java. Many developers are of the view that Java is a no-brainer programming tool. For this reason, if you are an android application developer who loves coding, iPhone application development might egg on you, for more than just android development.

The second comparing ground would be the platform. With iPhone, the searching for the functionalities is very intricate, while the case is quite opposite in case of android. iPhone applications are quite closed, while android app development is based on open source. To download the iPhone source code, you might need to route through Google, but downloading android source code is easier and quicker. In other words, android platform classes are unsurprising and steady in terms of layout. For this reason, the beginner development choice should be and is becoming android rather than iPhone development.

Another point of contrast between the two is the programming model for iPhone and Android application development. iPhone programming model is based on MVC design pattern. With this tool, building a user interface is simpler, as all the codes are orderly placed in the source code. On the other hand, the latter supports manifold processes. Thus, a little convoluted. However, both these platforms proffer declaration of user preferences in XML. Android's XML pattern permits the amalgamation of custom user interface components. While with iPhone, it is a wide-ranging job.
Resources comparison between the two platforms also constitutes for an important parameter. There are abundant resources for iPhone Developers. There are videos, so that the developers can watch them circumspectly and utilize them. On the other hand, android proffers SDK with the opposite guidance of API preferences. Many developers would say that android resources are well thought-out and apt for all the developers. Moreover, there is no apparent and precise NDA policy of Apple in terms of open source.

When it comes to tooling, both are almost identical. There are not loads of differences between their tooling systems, when it comes to iPhone and Android. Tooling interface comprises of

1.Debugger,
2.Profiler,
3.IDE,
4.User Interface, and
5.Builder.

From the aforesaid discussion, it is apparent that both iPhone and professional Android Application Development have some recompense as well as drawbacks. It depends on the developers and his requirements and needs which platform he or she should go for. The pros and cons are definitely there to help you in choosing your requirement.

Microsoft IT Training - Becoming Indispensable

By

Photo: article-niche.com

With so many people fighting the economic downturn, many are trying to figure out how to remain in their chosen field and become even more valuable. There are a few ways to move forward, and they're not always easy to identify, which is why many people are looking to brush up their skills for a brighter future. If you're working in the information technology industry, then it's vastly important to look into getting further training and certification at the same time. For instance, if you're working with Microsoft products, it's crucial to get Microsoft Training.
Without proper training a person in any department will find themselves in dire straits when a company has to downsize. The reason this happens is because a when a company is struggling financially, they often look at their key players first. The easiest way to save money is to cut people who are not of value. The more training a person has, the less likely they are to be laid off, as they are seen as a cornerstone for infrastructure. Even if a person does end up getting let go, they can move forward and look for other open positions if they are certified and trained for any job an IT department might have for them.
For those who aren't familiar with Microsoft training options available to IT professionals, it's important to understand that there are many certifications and programs to choose from. For servers alone, you can get certified in SQL, Windows Server, Microsoft Lync Server and many more. Certification will make anyone nearly indispensable, and that's because the average person isn't pursuing certification. Even if you have a degree in computer science or something IT related, you'll want to have the badge of honor that comes from training directly under the tutelage of Microsoft.
Furthering your education is never a bad thing. Whether you're an existing employee looking to add value to your position, or just looking to increase your knowledge for personal reasons, you can start training today. Upon completing your Microsoft certifications you will be able to get into any IT position and thrive. That's the great thing about this type of option, especially in these modern times. With so many people paying attention to computer networking, design, and communication, it's no wonder that more and more people are seeking education that reaches beyond the typical college degree.
The computer technology industry is one that constantly changes. Without updating your credentials through training, you may be able to hold a position in a computer related field, but you will soon find your knowledge to be obsolete. Don't let outdated training jeopardize your career. By getting additional certification and updating your credentials, you will stand out among employees and quite possibly save your job in case of company downsizing. You never know how that will impact your existing position, and even open up doors for further career advancement.
The training might be rigorous, but it will be well worth your time if you can master the programs and options offered for Microsoft. There's a major reason why technology departments hang onto their top talent, and one of the reasons is because they have certification that reaches beyond just a degree. If you're on the fence, the time is now to look into training.
Chester Flake is the CEO of Certification Camps which is the industry leader in training for Microsoft Certifications. He offers Microsoft Certification courses on MCTS, MCITP or MCPD Certifications. Plus Microsoft Training in SQL, Windows Server, Lync Server and more.

How to Prepare For the CCIE Exam

By

Photo: ipexpert.com

Statistics say you need thorough Cisco CCIE training, before you can even start dreaming about being certified an professional. Less than 10% of the applicants clear the exam on an average, and courses cost quite a bit. Sitting in the exams is not exactly cheap either, so whether you use written training or a lab boot camp, the goal is to prepare in a way that you end up in the category that holds the less than 10% applicants for CCIE.
How much Training do you need?
Formal CCIE courses pertain to mock test environments where you can get good training before you spend on the exam. We all have different career experiences so some will need more time for training and others will find the courses easier because of how they have lived through the situations long enough at work. The best way to go about preparing is to gauge where you stand in terms of your requirement for a boot camp, and before taking up CCIE training.
Cisco CCIE Written Training
The written exam is not the hardest part of the course so you can take up the written boot camps options online. With CCIE training, you want to let the concepts sink in. Online CCIE written training might give you the time you want, however, it's often observed that a written camp environment invigorates the minds better than solo study does. Whether you take up self study, an online CCIE written training course or a formal written boot camp, just do enough to get through your written training and exam because you should try to get to the heat of the batter as soon as possible.
Instructor for Cisco CCIE Boot Camp
Your mental condition for the courses matter, but so does the instructor for your lab training. Make sure you choose a boot camp where the instructor not only knows how to teach but is also an expert in the field.
Cisco CCIE Lab Training
The three most important things you can do to prepare for your CCIE exam are practice, practice and most importantly practice. It is what you need throughout your boot camp so when you are in your 8 hour exam at the end of your training solving problems becomes a habit of sorts. For the CCIE lab training, you can join a lab camp or you can rent/buy equipment to simulate the lab environment. While the boot camp is not a prerequisite for the exam and you can easily skip taking up formal training because it is usually costly, a formal boot camp can do you a lot of good if you are in the presence of a knowledgeable proctor.
Always Thirst for More
Additional reading is not just about what you listen to or read in your course. To be an expert in the field you need to enjoy your courses. Even more importantly, to be certified you need to keep up with the publications in your field. Make it a habit to read about the new methods, technologies and opinions. Read them and then assess their validity for yourself through your training.
